Google has recently launched the Helpful Content Update to improve the user experience on search.

This update emphasises the importance of people-first content, which is content written by people, for people. It means that your website's content should be reader-centric, not keyword-centric. Your content should be clear, concise, and answer the questions or needs of your visitors.



EVERYTHING on your website – from the introduction on your homepage, to the blogs, articles and your team biographies – is written with the reader at the forefront. It isn’t stuffed with search keywords, making it feel and sound unnatural or even nonsensical. Instead, your content should clearly and concisely answer the question, need or search query that your visitor desired.

By adopting a people-first approach, you can create content that is both informative and engaging, resulting in a better user experience for your website visitors and better digital marketing in general.
